The Rotational Trainers are an amazing tool that not only help athletes improve their rotational mechanics for their jump rope technique but can also provide a pretty awesome low impact work out in the process.
Rotational Trainers are utilized in place of an actual jump rope. They eliminate the need to time the jump with the rope and risk catching their toes. Instead the athlete can stand flat-footed and mimic the hand and arm motion utilized when jumping rope. This would be very similar to a baseball player swinging a bat and working on proper swing mechanics before introducing a ball into the mix.
Rotational Trainers are a key tool used in Rx Method Clinics to teach athletes the proper relaxed rotary method for turning a jump rope. The larger handles cause the athlete to open their grip up and allows them to use a more disengaged wrist when turning the Rotational Trainers. This results in improved efficiency and reduced fatigue in the shoulders and forearms. Once coordination is improved the athlete can then introduce a small bounding motion while turning the Rotational Trainers in order to mimic the full jump rope movement.
The knot at then end of the rope provide resistance, which will allow the athlete to gain better awareness through feel as well as visibly see the path of rotation. Then the athlete will be able to determine independently what each hand is contributing to the overall rotary motion. It is very common for athletes to have a dominant hand showing more coordination while the non-dominant hand is trailing behind. This can lead to an imbalance when jumping rope that can cause frequent catching.
Rotational Trainers are also a great substitute for athletes newer to jumping rope who need to scale their work out. Now the athlete can practice the full movement and receive the benefit of the heavy resistance while still gaining the cardiovascular benefits without having to stop because there is no rope to catch on the athletes toes.
This is a great sub for athletes with leg injuries that may need to scale jump roping into their workouts.
Great alternative for jumping rope.

My home gym has a low ceiling which prevents me from jumping rope inside. This product solves that and is a great sub for jumping rope. The weighted ends add resistance over traditional jump rope. Highly recommended This product. Cost is higher than other speed trainknf balls but this one adds resistance and you always get what you pay for.
great teaching tool and endurance builder
